Download or print lab results from your portal

Download or print lab results from your portal

You can view, download, save, or print many lab results from the Silent Hill Health portal after they are released. Lab results usually appear in Tests & Results, but some may appear under Hospital Results, Outside Results, or a facility-specific view such as Alchemilla Hospital or Brookhaven Hospital.

If a result is not available in the portal, it may still be processing, hidden by a filter, attached to a different visit or facility, waiting for provider or privacy review, or available only through the medical records process.

Best first step

Open Tests & Results, select the lab result, then use Download, Save PDF, Print, or Request Records if the result is not available for direct download.

Quick summary

  • Most released lab results can be found in Tests & Results.
  • Use facility filters such as All Silent Hill Health if the result is not where you expected.
  • Check that the result is Final before using it for an outside appointment, records request, or follow-up plan.
  • Download or print what is already available before submitting a larger records request.
  • Use Request Records if you need an official copy, older result, full record, or third-party release.
  • Contact portal support if the result should be visible but does not appear after checking status, filters, facility, and profile access.

Verify the result before saving or printing

Before you save or print a result, make sure it is the right test, date, and status. This is especially important if you have repeat testing, standing orders, hospital results, outside lab results, or multiple results with similar names.

Check Why it matters
Test name Similar lab names may refer to different tests or panels.
Collection date A repeated test may have several results across different dates.
Status Pending, preliminary, final, corrected, and addended results are not the same.
Facility A Brookhaven-related lab may be processed by Alchemilla Laboratory or an outside lab.
Provider comment Comments may explain whether follow-up, repeat testing, or medication review is needed.

Download or save a copy

If the result is available, you may be able to save it as a PDF, download it to your device, or store it in your portal documents. The exact button name may vary by portal view.

Common download options

  • Save Result
  • Export
  • Document Center
  • Request Copy

Save safely

  • Save to a private device or secure folder.
  • Avoid shared computers when possible.
  • Name the file with the test name and date.
  • Keep the full result page, not just a screenshot of one value.
  • Use Request Records if you need an official copy.

Tip: If you are downloading results for an outside appointment, include the result header, collection date, facility, reference ranges, and provider comments when available.

Print a copy

Use Print from the result page if the portal offers it. If there is no print button, use Download PDF first, then print the saved PDF.

Print step by step

  1. Open the lab result in Tests & Results.
  2. Confirm the result name, date, and status.
  3. Select Print, Download PDF, or Save.
  4. Choose a private printer when possible.
  5. Check the preview before printing so the full result appears.
  6. Pick up printed pages right away and store them securely.

Privacy reminder: Lab results contain personal health information. Be careful when printing at work, school, libraries, shared printers, or public computers.

Share with another provider

If another provider needs your lab result, ask whether they need a portal download, an official records release, or direct electronic sharing. A screenshot may not be enough if they need the full result, reference range, collection date, or facility information.

Sharing method Use it when
Download or print from portal You need a quick copy for yourself or an appointment.
Share from connected records The receiving provider can view linked Silent Hill Health records.
Request official records release The provider, agency, school, program, or attorney needs an official copy.
Caregiver or proxy access An authorized person helps manage your care and has appropriate portal permissions.

If the result is not available

A result that is not available for download may not be missing. It may still be processing, waiting for final release, hidden by filters, attached to another visit, processed by an outside lab, restricted by privacy settings, or not collected yet.

What you see What it may mean What to do
Pending or In Process The lab has not finished or released the result. Check back later or contact the ordering team if timing is urgent.
Future or Standing Order The test is ordered but not completed yet. Schedule or complete the test if your provider instructed you to do so.
No result found The result may be hidden by filters or linked to another facility or visit. Clear filters and choose All Silent Hill Health.
Outside lab result missing The result may not have been sent to Silent Hill Health yet. Check the outside lab or ask the ordering office where the result was routed.
Request Through Records The result may not be available for direct portal download. Use Request Records.
Proxy Access Limited The patient may be able to see a result that a proxy user cannot. Use the patient account or request proxy access review if appropriate.

Request an official copy

Use the medical records process when you need an official copy, an older result, a full record set, a result not visible in the portal, or a copy sent to another person or organization.

Privacy and proxy access

Lab results contain personal health information. If you are downloading or printing results for yourself, use a private device and secure storage. If someone else needs access, use proxy access, caregiver access, shared access, or a records release instead of sharing your password.

Brookhaven-related results, sensitive results, minor or dependent results, and some proxy views may have additional limits. A result may be visible to the patient but not visible to a caregiver or proxy user.

Do not share your portal password. Use authorized access or records release tools so the right person has the right level of access.
